DPRS PROJECT

Duration: 2014 – 2021

In 2017, the eHealth for Everyone Foundation carried out the Department of Health Planning, Research and Statistics’ (DHPRS) Support project, with funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).

The 2-year project was targeted at strengthening the Department of Health Planning, Research and Statistics’ Monitoring and Evaluation (DHPRS-M&E) team’s capacity for national coordination of Health Information System (HIS) development and implementation, along with their technical capacity for data analysis, presentation, and use.

The following outcomes were achieved

Strengthened coordination through improved knowledge on available HIS and data systems and investments.

Strengthened technical capacities of the DHPRS-M&E team on project management and HIS

Enhanced analytical capacity of the DHPRS-M&E team using District Health Information System 2 (DHIS2) and other analytic tools

Improved workplace productivity of the DHPRS-M&E team
